Adi Oren

Adi Oren is a New York–based painter whose practice centers on freedom, sensory expansion, and the primacy of process. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, she has presented solo exhibitions with ChaShaMa, Gallerie 271, and Hostetler Gallery, and has participated in group exhibitions including the Newport Art Museum and Silvermine Galleries. Her work has been featured in Forbes, Chronogram, and FAD Magazine.

Working from archival imagery, Oren examines how time accumulates within the body and how memory shimmers beneath the present. Her paintings inhabit a suspended space where figures emerge between presence and recollection. Layered surfaces, softened edges, and subtle spatial thresholds evoke embodiment and the continuity of time.

Embracing tactility and chance, she builds textured grounds through acrylic, poured latex, and material interventions. Process becomes both structure and metaphor, reflecting transformation and shared momentum.
