Leigh Wen
Born in Taipei and based in New York, Leigh Wen is an internationally acclaimed artist whose practice transforms the elemental forces of nature—earth, air, fire, and water—into luminous, carved landscapes of color and line. Her unique method, inspired by both Eastern philosophy and Western abstraction, reflects her life between two worlds.
Her work has been featured in over 15 U.S. embassies through the Art in Embassies Program, and collected by major institutions including the Albany Institute of History & Art, the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, and the Taipei Fine Arts Museum.
She is a recipient of the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, the New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship, and the Helena Rubinstein Fellowship, with solo exhibitions across New York, Taipei, Beijing, and Washington D.C.
