A Collaborative Program by SPACS ART & Taiwanese Artists Big Apple Club
After spending time in New York, many of us begin to miss the atmosphere of Lunar New Year — the shared meals, lively conversations, and the warmth of gathering in familiar language and culture.
This February, SPACS ART, in collaboration with Taiwanese Artists Big Apple Club, brings a touch of Taiwanese New Year spirit to Chelsea. Together, we present an evening rooted in tradition, creative exchange, and community connection.
SPACS ART is a contemporary art and cultural center located in New York’s Chelsea district. Through exhibitions, interdisciplinary programming, and collaborative initiatives, SPACS fosters meaningful dialogue between artists and professionals across fields, expanding the possibilities of cultural exchange.
Taiwanese Artists Big Apple Club is a community platform connecting Taiwanese creatives in New York, supporting artistic exchange and cultural presence within the city.
This gathering invites Taiwanese artists and cultural practitioners to come together — to celebrate, reconnect, and begin the New Year in shared creative company.

Eligibility
Open to Taiwanese creatives and cultural practitioners who speak Chinese.
All disciplines are welcome — including performing arts, music, design, film, animation, fashion, styling, culinary arts, and other creative fields.
Program
5:00 – 6:30 PM
Dumpling-Making & Calligraphy Session
Chef Chun (with a Michelin-restaurant background and founder of “Taiwan Fat Cat’s Food Journal”) will lead a hands-on dumpling-making session (pork and vegetarian options available). Dumplings will be freshly cooked and shared together. Guests are also invited to write traditional Spring Festival calligraphy.
